The care domain is the area that has been chosen from the PFCC Assessment tool. The element will be actively involving families in care planning and transitions. The patient’s family will be updated at three intervals during the patient’s cesarean delivery. The first step will be to create a plan of three different phases the will be updated on. The strategy will be for the charge nurse in the obstetrical Emergency department to be the second circulator in the operating room. The charge nurse will update the family on plan as the patients enters the OR. The charge nurse will circulate for the case until baby is born. The charge nurse will notify family that baby has been born and a general condition given. Once the patient moves to the recovery
