Petty Officer ENGELMAN is cited for superior performance of duty while assigned to Electronics System Support Detachment New York from May 2014 to April 2016. In March 2015 Petty Officer ENGELMAN volunteered to speak at the Municipal Credit Union's Youth Empowerment Conference about making positive life decisions to over 300 urban youths. Petty Officer ENGELMAN educated them on the Coast Guard's Core Values and mission statement, impacting the community and increasing interest in the Coast Guard. In October 2015, Petty Officer ENEGLMAN enthusiastically volunteered for a critical solicitation assignment onboard the CGC MIDGETT. During the 46 day patrol Petty Officer ENGELMAN expertly troubleshot and repaired the MK 92 Fire Control Radar System.
