Petri Investigation

Decent Essays
The method of this investigation is based around how much optimal water is needed in order to maximise efficiency plant growth.
1. Collect four petri dishes and place even amounts of cotton wool balls into each of the four petri dishes
2. Place 20 plant seeds across the four petri dishes. That means there should be 5 seeds for every petri dish. Make sure that the 5 seeds are located in different positions on the cotton wool.
3. Place 100 ml of water into a beaker.
4. You will have four petri dishes in front of you. Petri dish number one will be labelled control group. Petri dish number two will be labelled 1 ml of water. Petri dish number 3 will be labelled 2 ml of water and petri dish number four will be labelled 3 ml of water.
