A husband thought he was about to thrill his wife with home renovation plans after their house took a heavy hit from Hurricane Sandy, instead, she blew-up on him, then she mysteriously vanished from his life.

PIX11 reports Peter Brabazon was faced with yelling, not hugs, when he handed his wife, Maria, plans for their home:

"I brought home house plans, she said it's not what she wanted. She just exploded."
The New York mother of three, lashed out her husband in what Peter and their two adult daughters described as one of her "episodes."

Her two, adult daughters and her husband explained Maria had one of her "episodes."

Surveillance video captured her driving down the road, but she was never seen again.

Private investigator, Brian Sweeney, thinks she may not have even gotten into her car:

"In two years, no body has turned up. If she had committed suicide, she would have turned up somewhere."
Her daughter Christine believes her mother, who suffered from "severe, psychotic depression," is still alive. Peter explained:

"She had imbalances. She got angry very quickly."
Her daughter Pauline had heard her mom say something that could lead to the belief her mother is safe and sound, choosing to make the escape to get away from her family all on her own:

"She had mentioned, 'I wish I could just start over and have a new life and disappear.'"
Pauline backs up her sister's theory that her mom is alive, just spending her life somewhere else, "I think she's with somebody."

The mother vanished when both of her daughters were pregnant, which the women believe may have played a role in her disappearance over her concern she would be expected to care for their children while they worked. Still, Pauline defended Maria as a good
