Peter Benjamin Parker was raised by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May because his parents were killed in a plane crash. Peter had a great love for science ever since he was a little boy. His life changed when he attended a science exhibit at 15 years old. He was bitten by a radioactive spider on his hand that had given Peter the abilities of that spider’s strength, quick movements, and the ability to cling to almost any surface. Peter’s most important ability is his sense of detecting an early warning before danger occurs. To add on to his abilities, he built two artificial web shooters to place on his wrist which gave him the ability to fly from building to building and to use while fighting. Creating a costume in order to disguise himself, he wanted to test out all of his new super powers by fighting a professional wrestler, Crusher Hogan, whom he had defeated (Marvel Universe Wiki). …show more content…
However, Peter later found out that was the man who ended up shooting and killing Uncle Ben. From that moment, Peter felt guilty so he vowed to only use his powers for good to help save the world, also to protect his aunt. He finally realized what his Uncle meant when he constantly told him that with great power comes with great responsibility. Being Spider man wasn’t Peters’ only job, he works at the newspaper company, Daily Bugle, as a photographer selling pictures of himself as Spider-man to the publisher of the newspaper, J. Jonah Jameson. He does this in order to help Aunt May with finances and to build a good name for himself. Spider-man was feared by the public and he was mistrusted, so the photographs that Peter presents to Mr. Jameson show Spider-Man passion in helping those who are in danger from crimes and villains (Marvel Universe
