Pete is a father, when there is a woman who is pregnant and need help giving birth Bob says to Pete, “you have kids.” Pete helps the woman give birth to her child and ask Pete to be one of the godfathers and he says yes,which makes Pete one of Robert William Pedro Hightower godfathers. Pete is second in command you can tell in the beginning of the movie with they ride into Welcome, Arizona on their horse. Pete is the second tallest on his horse. Pete is different then Bob and Kid. He looks different, speaks different, and he acts different. Pete is also smart and helpful. He is smart and helpful because knew exactly were the Mexican border was and how to help the women give birth. Pete is respectful towards the woman he was helping. Pete is responsible. He is responsible for the child, water supply, and the woman giving birth, but he is also forgetful by forgetting to tie the horses up in the sand storm. Pete has suffered and sacrificed quit a bit by having to go through the desert with little to no water and walking in the blazing hot sun and sacrificed water for Kid and Robert William Pedro Hightower. He also sacrificed some of his freedom because he could not go where he wanted to because Buck sweet was after him and his friends. Pete is courageous because he had enough courage to shoot himself after he fell and broke his leg and to help the woman giving birth when he could of done nothing.
