We realized that dogs weren’t just a labor resource; they gave us a companion. Dogs are now trained to help humans with disabilities and to help firefighters and police officers. We don’t think of dogs as luxuries; we see them as part of our families. However, in less developed countries where people can barely provide food for themselves, they might consider dogs as luxuries. Having an extra mouth to feed might not be financially achievable.…

I love the idea of a calm, healthy workplace filled with satisfied employees as much as the next person. I also like the energy being put into creating such an environment, but I don't think dogs are the answer. While dogs are pretty amazing almost all of the time, I have to agree that if there is a solution to be found it has to be fair, and not everyone can just enjoy their co-workers chihuahua at their desk. As stated in the opposing argument, dogs can trigger a lot of anxiety for some individuals for many reasons: "My co-worker Gregory is anxious around dogs because he was bitten by a friend's dog. " Not to say the research that found dogs to be a form of stress-relief is incorrect or invalid, but there are other options when it comes to reducing anxiety in your place of employment.…

Joanna said in her argument that “ proper training and socialization are the keys to a well behaved dog”(Joanna). She is saying that training the dog is the building block to a well behaved god, without proper training, the dog can create bad habits that in return will destroy where it is located. David Penberthy was saying in one of his arguments that “ I reckon the more vicious or dangerous a breed of dog is, the greater the chances that the owner is at best a bit of a matcho dill, and at worst a complete antisocial” (David Penberthy). He is saying if someone owns a dog and if it becomes dangerous, then that person probably doesn't know what he is doing to keep the dog and the surroundings safe.
