When People Should Not Breed Their Animals

A belief that I am very familiar with is when people buy, adopt, or breed their animals when they do not have the means to take care of them, or just do not care to take care of them. This is one of those things that I cannot get over. People are just so ignorant to the time, money, and care that goes into having an animal. All these people see are a cute face when they're little and then when the animal grows up they don't think about the needs and costs an animal has. I get that some people want to have a companion and a pet to be there, but why let the animal suffer just because you want a pet? Animals, especially dogs and cats, need veterinarian check ups throughout the year to make sure that they are healthy and have a good value of life. Animals need multiple vaccines throughout their lives to maintain their health and when people do not have the money to vaccinate their pets they become more susceptible to different illnesses. Also, dogs and cats need flea and tick medicine to fight off the insects and when the owner doesn't have the money to buy these medications the animals can get lyme disease from ticks and infections from the fleas that decrease their value of life. When an animal is suffering because you are not financially stable enough to take care of them like they should be taken care of, then animal should be given up to someone who can take care of them in my opinion.
