Each year brings new ways of conducting digital marketing efforts. Some are enhancements to existing systems and some are entirely new applications. This is great as most if used right will end up increasing brand awareness which generates new leads which translating into higher profits. Who doesn't want more MONEY!

Here's the problem, not all new ways are used properly. When not used correctly the business (your business) not only loses the product/service benefit but may ultimately put its brand, leads, and profit at stake.

I think those individual and even worse group messages sent to sell/market a service/product I for one never said I was interested in are so unprofessional. Sometimes, like Twitters DMs I get these messages right away. Sometimes, months or years of being connected to someone and not even a "Hi" is shared between us and I get a sales message out of the blue.

Typically, these types of letters are written in response to articles in such publications, or in response to some local issue that might be also connected to a national one. Readers also respond to the inclusion of specific ads, especially their design or content, in publications. So, to begin with, consider an issue about which you have a strong opinion or “pet peeve”—something that bothers you or something that you think ought to be changed. Eventually you should also read carefully through one of your chosen publications—the one to which you will address your letter.…

It is understandable that the salesperson is just doing his or her job, but it is still annoying nonetheless. Most of the time, when we are persistent, we do not even notice or realize that we are already becoming bothersome.
