In a flat structure, the front-line representatives are enabled to settle on a scope of decisions individually. Information flow starting from the top and from the base up in a level structure, which means the flow of communication from top-level administration to forefront representatives and from front-line employees back to top administration (Stanford, 2015).
Tall Organisational Structure
Unlike flat organisational structure, tall organisational structure has different layers of management, and also bureaucracies that increases the level of policies within the organisation among their employees. In a tall structure, the top management of the company settle on most operational decisions, and power must be picked up from a few layers up before making a move. The flow of data is for the most part restricted in a tall structure starting from the top to various department heads and then to employees.
