Peru is in the midwest of South America. Peru is bordered by Equador, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, and Bolivia. Peru is the third largest country in South America and is one of the 20 largest countries in the world. Peru is larger than Spain and France combined.
59% of Peru is the Amazon rainforest. However, it only contains 12% of the population. The Amazon Rainforest has hot and tropical weather with plenty of rain.
30% of Peru is Highlands, which holds 36% of the population. The Highlands have dry and temperate weather with huge variations in temperature.
The most populated part of Peru is the Coast, which holds 52% of the population. But, it only covers 11% of Peru. The northern section of the coast is sunny and warm year round. Middle and Southern sections of the coast are temperate regions with little to no rain, yet its humid with little to no cloud cover.

Lima is located on the pacific coast of Peru.

Peru is a representative democratic republic divided into 25 regions. The president of Peru is Pedro Pablo Kuczynski. The vice presidents of Peru are Martín Vizcarra and Mercedes Aráoz, With Aráoz being the prime minister as well. The political parties of Peru are Alliance for Progress or AAP, Broad Front, Fuerza Popular, National Solidarity, Peru Posible or PP, Peruvian Aprista Party or PAP, Peruvian Nationalist Party, Peruvians for Change, Popular Action or AP, and Popular Christian Party or PPC. Kuczynski, Vizcarra, and Aráoz all are in the Peruvians for Change
