Which then enforces them to evaluate and devalue their own appearance, perception and judgement to suit societies. This argument was also written to raise awareness on the disconnection that can between families due to the influence of social media. The persuasive text is an opinionated argument that was substantiated by reports from experts. The benefit of utilising suggestions from experts include increase the credibility of the text and challenges the audience to question their perceptions. The mood eluded in the persuasive text is caution as the intended audience would either be parents/ guardians or teenagers and this form of emotive appeal increases the validity of the issue of young people creating a perception on social media that falsely represents their lifestyle. Whereas the review is much more relaxed and is just much more subjective.
To summarise, whilst both texts present their opinions through different formatting the subject of each text is discussed somewhat effectively as the review is disadvantaged by not including enough first hand experience and the persuasive text is disadvantaged by not applying enough emotive appeal for its audience. In saying that, both texts do validate their point
