In my persuasive speech, I did well on having my presentation organized. I knew I was going to start my speech by using my personal background as emotional appeal to get the audience's’ attention. I applied that to the illegal immigration situation to start my speech. I also stepped away from the podium and tried my best to make eye contact with the audience. By preventing that barrier from existing between my audience and me, I connected with them. I used PowerPoint for my presentation and I applied a light background to the slide to keep the slide from looking too extreme.
