Introduction

Get audience attention: Do you feel like you get enough sleep? According to my audience analysis 15 out of 15 people answered that they were sleepy. Stating that they don’t get enough sleep. According to Berkeleywellness.com we spend up to one-third of our lives sleeping or well we should at least.

Reveal topic/thesis: I know how important sleep is and I’ve had to adjust how many hours I get. Sleep is very beneficial in your life. Establish credibility: Today I will try to persuade my audience to get at least 7-9 hours of sleep.

Preview Main Points: First, I will tell you how vital sleep is, then I will give you tips on how to get good sleep and last I will tell you how beneficial sleep is for you.

A. According to Helpguide.org Not getting enough sleep can affect your mood, energy, and your ability to handle things. Lack of sleep can cause fatigue, weakened immune system, moodiness, lack of motivation, premature skin aging, impaired motor skills such as experiencing hallucinations.

According to Mayoclinic.org Step number 1 is to find a sleep pattern that is right for you and stick to it. Step number 2 is to pay attention to what you eat or drink it wouldn’t be wise to drink coffee right before you go to sleep or else it will keep you up. It’s also not good to go to sleep hungry or too full. Step number 3 would be try to find something that relaxes you such as reading a book or watching tv. Step 4 find a place that is comfortable for you (mine would be my couch). Step 5 try to avoid taking naps because it can interfere with your nighttime rest.
