Purpose:
By the end of this speech the audience will learn about the importance of sleep.

Introduction:
So here is a random fact for you did you know that sleeping on the job is acceptable in Japan, as seen as a sign of exhaustion from hard work. However, in most parts of the world including the US sleeping on job is seen as gross misconduct and maybe a reason for termination but the fact is approximately 40 million Americans suffer from chronic sleep disorders. By a show of hands how many of you get an average of 8 hours of sleep each night? Did you know that sleeping less than 7 hours each night reduces your life expectancy!

Central Idea:
The idea here is not to scare you but to educate you about the importance of sleep. After
