C. Speaker Credibility: As someone who has been in a similar situation, being hooked to these networking sites. I understand exactly why it is unsafe.

Statement of Need: The amount of teens that are creating profiles with the sites are relatively high.

i. Random person on facebook retained her information on her profile ii. Started to send her mail of all the vile things that he wanted to do when he met her. iii. Made a statement saying that she lives her life paranoid everyday.

i. Applied to a career to the FBI ii. They did a background screening, found that she had vile pictures iii. Denied her of the job
c. Ryan Cortez
i. Her and her friend made a hate page for their teacher ii. Started to spread lies about her iii. Automatically expelled
B. Ramifications: Should raise awareness to the parents that the sites are very dangerous, and they should not turn a blind eye to the unsafe environment.

a. Stats show that 86% of college recruiters use the site to pick out the bad apples in the bunch
b. 26% were denied based on their findings
D. Findings
a. Scientists predicted that at the age 13-17, these individuals are still declared as minors. The brain is not yet fully developed for them to understand what is right and what is wrong.
