On July 26, 1764 the Pontiac’s Rebellion School massacre happened, killing ten students and only one survived. These school shootings have been going on for a long time and still going on today. Guns have been apart of this world for a long time, but they’ve never really been a threat to anybody, well they have been in wars and things like that but never in schools until the late 1700’s. I don’t see guns as a bad thing, to a certain extent. Ever since the first shooting happened a lot of countries have made laws to were they have banned guns, but honestly banning guns isn’t going to help with school shootings because the people who are the shootings know what they are doing, and us banning guns isn’t going to stop them. Ever since the Sandy Hook shooting in late 2012, it has become glaringly apparent an alarming amount of the United States’ populace and lawmakers would sooner sacrifice the lives of children than ever dare consider the idea of constricting some of the freedom a gun carries. It might be a tad bit of an overgeneralization, and obviously very few would ever admit to believing they fall into that category, but the history of gun violence in the US shows the lack of attempts and resistance to improved weapon laws speaks louder than their words. Following the aforementioned shooting at Sandy Hook in 2012, there has been roughly 63 school shootings, give or take, ranging from only one being injured to over a dozen being murdered. After all these…

Public shootings or mass public killings have been an epidemic that our society as a whole has had to deal with since the beginning of time. Throughout all these events one thing has often been the same, they had planned it beforehand before they executed the deed. People seem to think that banning guns will in turn solve the conflict that we face currently but that is a very ill conceived notion. The solution to this problem is to enforce stronger gun laws and regulations. For example they should put a limit on purchasing guns without a background check to look for any mental instability and a gun ownership license.…

School shootings are a trend that unfortunately has been getting popular for more than a decade. This is causing schools to increase security and prepare for a potential war against unknown individuals. This has shown a negative effect on a significant amount of students who now see school as unsafe. Metal detectors, security cameras, and many other security safeguards have been a regular necessity for schools. According to the article I just read “Just five of Every town’s 18 school shootings listed for 2018 happened during school hours and resulted in any physical injury.” Though the actual number of school shootings aren’t a tremendous number like 18, it still highlights the fact that school shootings is a hefty problem. Regardless of the other 13 incidents that are not actually being counted as a school shooting is still a firearm being fired on school campus can still leave a student very scared like the article stated, for example “A month ago, for example, a group of college students were at a meeting of a criminal-justice club in Texas when a student accidentally fired…
