Persuasive Speech On Opium War

Decent Essays
Today there is a war, an opium war to be exact. If the british can not continue to replenish their opium stash like my grandma can, then their will be plenty of consequences to face. Such as hospital patients in extreme pain because of the lack of opiates. Their will be mass withdrawal from heroin oxycontin and plenty of other opiate addictions. there will surely be no shortage of pain if the chinese discontinue the trade of opiates to the british government. This will cause a huge rise in the cost of opiate of course because of tariff put on by other governments and the people of britain will be willing to pay more to receive their medicine.

More Canadians than ever seem to prefer flying out of U. S. airports to reach their destinations. This is largely due to the cost efficiency of catching a flight from a facility such as SeaTac Airport instead of a Canadian airport. If you are driving to SeaTac to catch a flight, you probably wish to find a parking facility with affordable rates, and you’ll certainly want to be sure that your car is left in a safe place. Like countless fellow Canadians, you may well appreciate the low prices, convenience, and other benefits of leaving your vehicle at an off-site SeaTac Airport parking lot, such as Aeroparking’s Park & Fly lot. Quick Access to SeaTac Airport One of the top benefits of long-term parking with Aeroparking is the quick trip…

If the Newseum is torn down, the first amendment will not have a place to be celebrated just for itself, so there will be no place to celebrate the first American Constitutional freedom. President Trump is pressuring Congress into passing a bill that will start a project to make room for new monuments. The project will consist of tearing down monuments that the government feels are unnecessary. The project will ruin DC and the American spirit. If the bill does pass, the Newseum should definitely not be torn down since it is a reminder of what America is, it will have horrible economic effects on the country, and tearing it down will diminish the American spirit.…

One of the solutions to the accessibility of opioid-based drugs is through increased regulations and lessened attitudes towards the distribution of opioid-based prescription drugs. The promoting of alternative treatments for pain when consulting patients could result in lessened amounts of prescribed opiates. Moreover, the construction of a more effective recording system that regulates the individual patient use of prescription opioids could better detect prime prescription opioid abusers.…

Geertz once said that the tragedy of the colonial people was not that they suffered through the colonial era, but the fact that they suffered for nothing, and he was right. It is true that many of the colonized areas developed more rapidly after the invasion of the Europeans and adopted new Western ideas, but those benefits have no direct relationship with their pain. The colonized people suffered for nothing, because while they developed new public service systems and globalized economy, the suffering of the colonial people could have been avoided if the colonizers had more caution and respect toward the colonized. One of the most significant change in the colonies after the arrival of Europeans is the improved quality of education and public…

Over the past decade, the number of prescription drug issues has dramatically risen. Prescription opiates are being widely abused often leading to an addiction or becoming a gateway to harder, more dangerous substances. Unfortunately, more often than not, doctors are unknowingly enabling drug abusers and addicts instead of helping to aid them. Prescription opiates are often addictive but seem to be the only choice at the time when a patient is in pain. We need to continue research of prescription opiates and treatment of drug addicts and abusers in our country in order to prevent the enablement of addiction.…

World War 2 began on September 1, 1939; the Germans planned an unprovoked attack on Poland, then Britain and France got involved after Adolf Hitler – the German leader of the Nazis – refused to abort his attack on Poland which developed the warfare of Europe.
