Stop with the pictures of him, unless they’re being shown to ask for information. It’s that media explosion of who can find the best info the fastest inorder to get the best ratings. Movies have been made of the columbine morons. What a legacy! The info you get from the media is a combination of unnecessary, made up, alarmist, and gives too much of the wrong publicity to someone who needs to be forgotten. Not his actions. Just the person. 9 Times out of 10, the reason for the action is psychotic in nature. I’m going to shoot up the church because God told me that blacks were bad. I’m going to shoot up the mall because the poor can’t shop there. I’m going to kill people as soon as I know my life is over. The reasons open zero windows to anything but mental health issues. Our mental health system is broken. Completely broken. With no future plans to fix it. Could a mental health system that works have saved any lives from these mass shootings? Probably not. Why? Suicide was what they wanted. But they wanted to go in a blaze of glory. To forever be remembered as not the shy kid, not the weird guy, not the bullied kid, but as the rampage killer that killed more then any other

In the commentary Shameful Scapegoating of the Mentally Ill Tom Dart writes about the problems he sees in America concerning mass shootings, and who is blamed for them. Tom points out that America has a bad habit of jumping onto bandwagons, and a big one right now is blaming the mentally ill for mass shootings. Another major problem is that there is no money being spent on mental health. In fact Tom talks about the money that is being taken out of the budgets that would help with mental health.…

The firearm ban from 1994 had little to no noticeable effect because it left normal law abiding citizens unable to arm themselves and criminals (surprisingly) still didn't heed the law.…
