It has been 100 Years since WW1. How far have we come?
Today, I will be talking about Gay rights. For many centuries, Gay people have been deprived of the rights they feel they deserve. They believed that they deserved what everyone else deserves… Happiness and Freedom. I believe that whatever we got, should have been given to them. The same opportunities we got. We all breathe the same way. We all get sick. So… Why should who we like define us? On 27 August, 1975, South Australia became the first Australian state to fully decriminalise homosexual acts. It’s hard to believe now but until 1899 in Australia, homosexuality could be punished by death For many years, the maximum penalty was life in prison. As time went by, the punishments were reduced.
