Persuasive Speech On Concussions

Picture yourself on the field, you are running with the ball then lights out. You wake up to your coach and paramedics around you; you are rushed off the field to the sidelines. Your coach ask if you're ok you reply yes, then you're sent to the field. Now does that sound normal to you because it should that person would of gotten a concussion or even more serious brain damage just to be sent on the field again. That player should of been given extra time for his injury to recover instead of being sent on the field again. If this topic wasn't such a serious deal I'd probably be siding with the team but that's not the case. If you looked at the concussions taken by football players you could say that they are forced to go into the field. Other times it could be the player himself because he has to earn money if he is taken out he losses money. This is so widely known and it's basically common knowledge now that players receive brain damage throughout their career and they just deal with it. Some people would say they know what they're getting themselves into. Now, this is true the do expect to see a concussion but not permanent brain damage because with given time those concussions can turn even more serious. …show more content…
Let's stick to the facts concussions are a serious matter that is being dealt with poorly for ludicrous reasons. Now if they were given extra time the player could recuperate and let the injury heal. Yet saying this there are a lot and they sometimes can't feel it. If this matter wasn't serious it wouldn't have a movie made about it but they still don't try to resolve the problem. Finally I leave you with a question if you see someone with a concussion what would you do leave them there or help
