My grandmother was diagnosed for the first time with colon cancer when she was 27 years old. Cancer reoccurred several times over her lifetime until it finally came back and killed her at the age of 81. All of my grandmother's four children were diagnosed with colon cancer at some point ( including my mother). Luckily, the cancer was caught in time with each of them to be cured. Unfortunately, they all are at a high risk of it returning.
