Water Therapy Persuasive Speech

Right now you could definitely use the help of a wheelchair, or crutches, or something, but everybody tells you no. You’ll end up bedridden, apparently, by trying to be more active. Makes sense right? What they don’t realize is that you are 10% as active as you were two years ago. You might be one of the most introverted individuals on the face of the earth, but not getting to do what you love is getting to you. They want you to solve your problems with drugs. Take pain meds and make the pain go away right? Wrong, I don’t want to take meds, I’m done swallowing pills I’ve been doing it for almost 10 years. It’s depressing. They expect you to be happy when you’re falling apart, and when you 're not they put you on more pills. I’m not happy, pills …show more content…
Obviously this isn’t working, can we try my one of my ideas? No, fine, what about something else? They are making you do water therapy for your joints, it’s not doing a damn thing, just like you told them it wouldn’t. The guy keeps saying “Oh, this exercise will stretch out your blah blah blah,” like NO don’t do that, I’m already plenty stretchy, stretchy is bad, stretchy is the problem. My PT guy says to try it for a month, if it doesn’t work, I don’t have to do more. That’s great and all, but what then? What happens when it doesn’t work?!? I’m wasting two hours twice a week for something that isn’t going to work, and paying someone to be able to do it? PT doesn’t work for EDS, it’s documented. You can’t unstretch ligaments, that’s not how it …show more content…

Monegan is probably my favorite teacher in the entire universe, which is funny considering I hate history, and thus really didn’t care much for his class. No one can make me love history, that is not his fault, but he has made many other’s fall in love with the study of the world. Monegan is probably the most caring and kind person I’ve ever met, even if it’s in his own way. His mischievousness is beyond the realms of prediction, and his personality has so many depths. If you think you know him, you don’t, and I like that. There’s something to be said about a person that is there own person, and doesn’t need the world to gradify that. Monegan has been there for me in some of the toughest parts of my life, even if I didn’t ask him to be. When I first came out at Bio-Med things got very shaky in life, and he found me without me even really knowing him. Suddenly I had a world of support that was bigger than I ever knew before, even if I didn’t realize it at the

After reviewing my persuasive speech over why the University of Oklahoma is the best university in the nation, I would sum up my speech as a little bit of train wreck. Although I made good claims with factual evidence, the amount of stuttering I did, and all the times I was choked up throughout the speech drew my audience’s attention away. From this, I lost my audience’s belief that I was competent of the information I was reiterating to them.
