“The question is not, ‘Can they reason?’ nor, ‘Can they talk?’ but ‘Can they suffer?”. What if your were an animal, a harshly, cruelly, mistreated animal and by all means enslaved. Just imagine your whole life spent being hit, starved and locked up in a cage wondering in what form will they abuse you next. This is the life of all animals in captivity. Yet, not many people are speaking out for these animals, while people still to circuses and entertaining shows that are using animals. We don’t know what suffering animals have to go threw just for our entertainment. They would never perform these tricks because they want to and they don’t do any of these meaningless acts in their natural habitats. These animals are unable control their freedom, power and ability to show or communicate their resistance of their abuse. Studies from the Do Something Foundation, have shown that on average 96% of circus animals lives are spent in chains and cages. Tigers naturally fear fire, yet they are forced to jump threw them. Sea World is another example animal abuse. It is one of the most famous sea animal entertainment shows in the U.S. in which they train dolphins and cute cuddly wales to perform glamorous shows that give you goosebumps, making you appreciate the trainers and admire their work, but all of that is until the truth is triumphed. Seaworld always claims that their animals were found in the ocean injured, desperately looking for help but the real truth is that Seaworld has rarely ever found injured animals in the ocean and rescued it. Most of the animals they have were kidnapped from their natural homes and environment. The average lifespan of Orcas is from 30 to 50 years old in their natural habitats, the males maximum life span is 60-70 years old. Female Orcas in oceans they live from 80 to even 100 years old with all freedom in the world, but in Seaworld captivity the median age of orcas is 9. Many people have said and argued the fact that it’s bringing in a lot of money, but so was slavery. However slavery was prohibited because the people spoke, which made everyone realize that it should be ended.
