Thank you ladies and gentlemen of the Gull Lake School board for being here. What if I told you I could sufficiently reduce the amount of stress and increase social and academic ability for students here at Gull Lake High School? While also providing long-term benefits of decreasing the risk of cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. By making one annual physical education course mandatory for high school students here at GL. This proposition administers an immense amount of health benefits as well as stress relief, social development, and escalation in academic performance.
We are living in a country that is currently leading the world number poll for obesity. With thirty two percent of our youth and sixty nine percent of adults classified to be obese. The Nation's health looks far from promising. A future in which the nation's youth will undertake battling the obesity epidemic. Obesity increases the risk of diabetes, high

While this is a valid point, I invite you to consider what importance life holds if you are too unhealthy to embrace it. You can be the smartest chemistry student in the world, but it will be insignificant if your unhealthy lifestyle leads you to spending your life battling the many health risks that accompany it. In the same regard many of the problem skill sets and communicative gains you were receiving through courses such as math and science are also acquired through physical education.
Physical education administers many other outlying benefits. Physical activity inspires him out amongst individuals and increases social interaction. It urges adolescence to work with others outside of their normal group of peers. While also instilling moral values such as fairplay, honesty, and respect. Alongside with the aspects of both winning and losing, and teaches adolescents to be accepting of
