From this group speech project I have learned many great things such as always listen to your peers, don’t ignore your peers thoughts and ideas which will let them down, always talk about the problems within the group etc. From the video session we pretty much worked in our outline through out session where we discussed introduction, main points, and conclusion. The communication in that video session was great we all were sharing our thoughts about the speech and were discussing how do we want to approach it. In this video session we had both verbal and nonverbal communications because, for the some part we just research on our own topic and for the most part we discussed about the outline. After, we were done with our central idea and introduction paragraph then we started working on our main points conclusion. We discussed how we wanted to start the speech then for the first main point we decided that we should start with talking about STis. Then, for the second we decided that we will talk about violence against women and at last we will talk about human trafficking and conclusion. Then, for the rest of video session we talked about what are putting in our outline, how long will our outline be and discussed …show more content…

The main challenge of this group situation is that there was a sudden rise of conflict among members at the beginning to mid phase of the project. This resulted the possible development of groupthink (Janis, 2008). As a leader in this situation, I would firstly feel lousy and disappointed in myself that I didn’t take note of group’s division and how the meeting could be more inclusive of everyone’s opinion (Chadha, 2016). However, at that point, I would also probably feel confused but yet curious as to why it was suddenly voiced out, hence thought that I should facilitate to explicit the thoughts and feelings of each member to better understand as well.…

Sex; it’s always been a hot topic. It’s always been the case that humans, in their base nature, are instinctive creatures and often act on animalistic desires, especially those of a sexual nature. As one so often hears, in the media and in the world around us; “sex sells”. The phrase itself came about through the corroboration of sexual acts, both paid or unpaid, private or public. After reviewing my persuasive speech over why the University of Oklahoma is the best university in the nation, I would sum up my speech as a little bit of train wreck. Although I made good claims with factual evidence, the amount of stuttering I did, and all the times I was choked up throughout the speech drew my audience’s attention away. From this, I lost my audience’s belief that I was competent of the information I was reiterating to them. At the introduction of my speech I believe I started out fairly strong and gave a good run down of the coming speech.…
