Marijuana! Good for you? Safe with no risks? Absolutely not! Marijuana is a drug that destroys people's lives, families,and everything thing else that person's life consists of. Despite what people say “Oh it's for my AIDS, glaucoma or ADDED”,It's still bad for you! Though you may quit or stop but later on you can get the same high again just by sweating. This is done by the drug going into your veins and skin when you sweat you will run the drug through your system causing the particular high again. It might relieve stress the first few times but it's an ADDICTIVE drug that will ruin your life. The FDA states that “Currently there is sound evidence that smoked marijuana is harmful”. No matter what people say cannabis, another word for marijuana, is harmful and can cause serious health defects down the road. “some compounds of cannabis including THC and cannibal interfere with the natural signalling system throughout our brains nerves and immune system”(Philips). Americans everywhere have lived without knowing the effects of drugs or alcohol. Take cigarettes for example, in the 1970’s it was deemed ok and people didn't know the risks. Naturally millions of americans smoked. Now it has caught up with them we have discovered the effects and now people have black lungs and lung cancer. Did you know that one out of every six kids who start using marijuana become addicted? That’s a large number of kids becoming addicted to marijuana. The more society lets this go on and be unnoticed and deem it right more kids will find it ok and look for ways to smoke. The only outcomes of marijuana of any kind is a negative. Look at it this way,If one of your friends becomes addicted to marijuana what do you do try and convince them to stop? That's almost always not going to work once someone is addicted they won't want to admit it and they won't want help they will just get mad and aggressive. Don't let that friend be you who loses everything they have and cared for just to intoxicate your body with a drug that should not be used even after all the warnings you have received. Your body can only handle so much, we need to treat it with care not try and deteriorate it quickly and not live to see tomorrow. Medical marijuana is not something to be taken lightly. It's a dangerous drug that alters your mind and physical orientation. People do terrible things when under the influence of marijuana that they normally would never do. It makes people disoriented and unaware of their surroundings. Making it impossible to drive,cook,clean or perform normal everyday activities without endangering people around you and yourself.
