The writing expected from college courses is one that most are unfamiliar with. Although students learn basic English skills throughout grade school and up to high school, most of the advanced steps are forgotten by the time the student is to enter college. He opened his eyes to see that the forest he was once in has now become a dark room with vines protruding in many places. It was quite straining to see, the only light being the faint lights of gold and purple from the crowns of the superiors. You have done a great feat, opened the faery realm into a portal in which we can devote our revenge towards the nonmagical human race that has brought us many long years of grief.…

Persuasive Essay The minor changes in a society continue to occur as time passes, however, the vital components of running a society stay the same. The government as well as citizens inherit similar traits over time allowing unfair treatment and manipulation to continue its negative impact on each member of the society. The novel 1984 by George Orwell implicates a commentary on our society, rather than simply being a work of fiction. This is demonstrated through the way that propaganda is conveyed through social platforms, the acceptance of two contradicting beliefs or opinions simultaneously, and the notion that society controls minds are similar aspects between our society today and the dystopian society in 1984.…

Too many students who are not qualified or driven to graduate are attending four-year universities when many times, they are better equipped to begin working or attend vocational school. We as a nation have made it seem as though those who attend technical or vocational school, or perhaps no post-secondary school at all, are looked down upon or considered not smart enough. We have also created students to believe they should all earn a four-year degree, or possibly higher. This obsession with education has created a problem in that college degrees are becoming less valuable and more like high school diplomas, resulting in more people going to graduate school.…
