Persuasive Letter To Travel To Cuba

Decent Essays
I have been provided an amazing opportunity to travel to Cuba. Just recently, travel has been allowed for educational trips to take place between the two countries. I would love to learn and be exposed to all the rare experiences Cuba has to offer. Such as their culture, historical architecture, food, dancing, music, art, natural landmarks, etc. I am trying to raise money so that my two mothers who already pay for so many soccer tournaments, training camps, and various other activities do not have to pay for such a huge expensive trip by themselves. I would be so grateful to have this opportunity and would not be able to thank anyone enough if they would be so kind as to help. Any donations no matter the size would help so much. Thank

The Cuban-American community has been successful in the United States for a great number of reasons; based on both their efforts and the efforts of the United States. For starters when Cubans migrated to The United States between the years of 1959-1979 a large number of them were highly educated, wealthy and had some political power. Alongside of all that they also had knowledge of the English language so communicating would not be an issue once in the U.S. They were also “white” looking Cubans that first migrated, which would have made life in the United States at the time a whole lot easier. The Cuban-American people began arriving to Miami at a time when the city was on the verge of expanding and growing.…

Tears of joy streaming down my aunt's face, being squeezed by relatives for group pictures, tropical heat causing sweat to form in the small of my back; Regardless of how uncomfortable it is to step out of my comfort zone, my family's annual trips to Cuba are something I've always looked forward to. In the year of 1999, I was born in Cabaiguán, Cuba. If it had been up to my mother, I would have been born in the United States. Immigration laws required us to stay for at least six months after my birth before coming to America. Despite us moving to the United States, my parents always made sure I didn't forget where I came from.…

I would get permission of the authorities, and go talk to a hospital and see if they are interested in this project. Also, I think once a year, we could send care packages to veterans, and wounded soldiers. I think this would be a great service for those fighting for our country. If this is a possibility, I would try to go to an organization that sends donations to our soldiers, and ask them if they would want to go about this project. I would try to get donations from various students, and companies with the help of some other members.…

Beginning in 1933, Germany enforced an extensive and aggressive forced emigration policy for its Jewish population. Between the German Nazi party’s rise to power in 1933 and its surrender in 1945, over 340,000 Jews emigrated from Germany and Austria. Though unfortunately, nearly a third of these migrants were killed in concentration camps during the Holocaust as they resettled in countries that were eventually taken over by the Nazis.2 Sensing the urgency, in 1938, over 30 countries gathered at The Evian Conference to formulate a potential solution for a world with nations that were simply not prepared for this sudden influx of immigrants. While there was general opposition and resistance to the policies of Adolf Hitler, the Nazi party’s leader, several nations remained hesitant to admit Jewish refugees into their country, often…

Economy Two studies, 26 years apart, conducted an analysis of the effects of Cuban immigration on the Miami labor market after the Mariel boatlift. I have always loved the magnificent country that we live in, but after researching about Cuban’s desiring to migrate to this great land, I have realized how much I have taken for granted all that the Lord has blessed us with. Unfortunately, not all people groups are blessed in such a way, and this fact had been made clear to me when I looked into what Cubans need to live through, and do for their families in order to survive. Based off the few articles that I had looked into, it was clear that there are different types of people living in Cuban; people who feel hopeless to the point that they would build their own raft to float across the ocean, and others who feel like Cuba is their homeland, and they know it is where they want to stay (Silva).…
