King of Scotland is slain

King Duncan I of Scotland has been slain at Macbeth Manor last night. The king was found with multiple stab wounds likely caused by a dagger. Lord Macduff discovered the King’s limp bloody body in the early hours of the morning.

Sir Lennox has described the storms that raged on the cold sad night of the king’s assassination. He asserts that he cannot remember anything like it in all his years.

Lady Macbeth has expressed her horror that such a deed could be done under her roof and understandably had tears drown her fair
