I apologize for emailing you this late and especially about an extension. I really did not want to ask for an extension because of what happened with the last essay. I was told by my advisor to speak to you about this but I refused because I don't want to make it seem as if I am making up excuses. This past week has been extremely rough for me emotionally, but I wanted to put all that aside and complete this essay.
