Persuasive Letter Against Cloning

I would like to introduce myself as Ruhi Kumar. I am aware that there is an upcoming vote on the issue of legalizing cloning. I feel as if cloning should not be legalized because of moral issues. Cloning animals that you once loved would remove the value of the animal. Hopefully, you will take my reasons into consider and prevent the legalization of cloning.
As you know, I am writing this letter to discuss the issues on cloning. Cloning is an issue that is debated by people who think it is an ethical issue and by people who are just greedy for their own benefit. In other words, people who support cloning are not aware of how wrong it is to make a clone, kill it off for its stem cells, and eventually create another clone. People must not have thought much about it since scientists are cloning just animals, however, if human beings were to be cloned all over the place, there would be an uproar. I will expand on how this cloning procedure does not meet the ethical standards. I hope you will make your decisions regarding this issue.
I think cloning is an issue that can be debated by many people; people who are against it and people for it. I, personally, am against cloning. To do that, stem cell researchers need tax dollars to complete this procedure. Many scientists claim that therapeutic cloning isn’t really cloning because the embryo does not live for long. Even it is just an embryo, it is still human life no matter what. Killing it off is just as wrong too. Embryos are created just for their stem cells and eventually killed off which is not right because they are not only a cloned copy of the original, but they are not even allowed to live more than 4 to 5 days
