Let’s get to the point. Immigration has been a big Issue in the past years and the majority of some students are non-residents. This is a big problem today because Immigrants are sought out to be bad people that do crimes and come here to steal jobs. Contradictory, immigrants are creating jobs and making a new hope for themselves and their families. So why? Why, is it a big problem for a Non-Residents like myself get any scholarship opportunities or being able of getting the acceptance of a college? What’s makes us different from the people that live here? We all have the same goal and the same Dreams, making us alike. The only thing that is separating us, is the place we were born on. Families have suffered due to deportation losing the biggest income of their family. Students like myself, don’t have the right to drive, work, and have less rights than Residents. It’s a wish being able to work and support your daily needs. You have to base up your money that is given to you by a family member. Let me tell you a little about myself, I’m a students at Metro Tech High School, herby writing a Personal Statement about a National Concern, students like myself are facing to this day. My GPA consists of a 4.0, Top 10% of my graduating class and get involved in many clubs. My goal is to become an Engineer to create and Innovate. Engineers inspire me to do great things and create great things for my city. Throughout the course of my education I have gained the characteristics of a leader, full of ambition. I’m independent but seek education and knowledge with my teammates. Have good interacting and mathematical skills, perfect for an engineer. Being a non-resident is hard, it’s crucial for us to go to college and get a lot of scholarship opportunities, so we can be successful in life. There’s million of Students like me out there in the country. We choose Education Not Deportation. Immigration may be seem as criminals but diversely, they are afraid of us, they are afraid of the incredible things we can accomplish.
