In the article, it states that Teresa Velin “told a friend she was busy. ‘I’m not always as busy as I appear to be… I don’t want to ruin a friendship over a broken movie date” (Article 1 paragraph 6), To put it in another way, Teresa Velin lied to her friend in order to not go to the movie theater and get dressed up and to save a friendship. One again notices how a friend isn’t always honest and plans it out to get out of something. Furthermore, “Maria’s best friend tried on a new dress… ‘I love it. What do you think?’... ‘It's nice,’ Maria said even though she thought it was awful” (Justification chart).
