Against Euthanasia Research Paper

Euthanasia means: the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease or in an irreversible coma. Euthanasia has helped many people end their suffering rather than them suffering for the short period of time they have left to “live”. Physician-assisted suicide gives the people dying a chance to die with dignity. They are able to come to terms with their incurable sickness and leave this life while being at peace. Euthanasia should be legal for various reason yet some people still argue against it. This argument will convince you some of the ways euthanasia is beneficial, not only to the patient but to their families as well. It’s simple really! The patients should have to the right to decide that they no longer want to suffer because it’s their life. If you don't agree with physician-assisted suicide, great, don’t choose to take that route. It really all comes down to having the choice to do what you want with your life. Also, just because euthanasia isn't legalized does not mean the patients will not find another way to end their pain! They will take the gruesome way out to finally be at peace- suicide. No? Then why in the world should the patient?! If you answered yes because “you want to live as long as you could”, I could bet that you have never had to endure what those who have a limited time to live have endured! You can never know what you would do in a situation until you’re put in that exact situation! You can be against euthanasia now, but when you are lying on your deathbed, begging for anything that would put an end to your misery, you’d think differently. Of course they don’t want to die, but they are and they're doing so in pain! And if they have to die, they want to be able to do it painlessly. Can you really blame
