Most of the Human beings live in a modern society nowadays. People with conservative minds are now beginning to adapt to new way of life. Sadly, in the name of living a modern and luxurious life, some people crossing the limits. They are harassing others sexually and even mentally. Those who have become the prey of these harassments have been neglected by most of the people including the educational institutions and the government. The hunting ground has tried to express the agonizing pain and desperate cry out of the inner voice of all the victim who has been neglected.
Every scholar has a dream to get into a prestigious university and earn a degree. Students who go to this institutions are told that they will be safe. Regrettably, it is also a place where a lot of male and female are raped. “Even though 72% of campus law enforcement agencies have a staff member responsible for survivor response and assistance, Women aged between 18-24 who are enrolled in college are 3 times more probable than women in general to experience the ill effects of sexual savagery” (Who are the Victim?). This is a very disturbing number. “The Hunting Ground” has shown that these figures are true. In the movie, it was revealed that some even killed themselves because their plea was disregarded as being fake and of lesser importance. Some of the effects of sexual abuse are depression leading to irrational decisions, drug abuse, alcohol abuse and PTSD (Effect of Sexual Assault and Rape). A person who is raped changed drastically. One could also see in the movie that people who were once cheerful and social, have abandoned the society and became a victim of lifetime agony.
