Animal Research is, has always been, and will most likely continue to be a delicate subject. The use of animals in research ranges from cosmetics to medical and wherever there are animals being tests there are groups of people arguing the morality and ethics of the testing being done. Excluding cosmetics and the like for now (that’s a different argument), the use of animal research in neuroscience is absolutely necessary and though it is a sensitive issue, there are ways to make it more ethically acceptable and to protect the animals themselves from blatant cruelty. Today, animal research is more humane than it has ever been.…

Animal testing is the human act of using lively, conscious animals to test products, not caring what the aftermath may be. According to peta.org, more than 100 million animals are slaughtered in U.S. laboratories. Those that have the heart to inflict this type of brutality do this immobilizing them in restraint devices for hours, drilling holes into their skulls having their spinal cords crushed. (peta.org). Other than the physical atrocities that humans are forcing vulnerable animals into, they are also isolated from their own kind, confined to barren cages, and therefore, become severely traumatized.…

Breast Cancer, Childhood leukemia, Chronic Myeloid leukemia, Lung Cancer, and many other diabolical diseases all have a greater survival rate due to animal testing. Animal testing has enabled the development of many life saving treatments for both humans and animals. Although it is referred to as being cruel and inhuman, there is no accurate alternative method for researching a complete living organism. Animal testing should be continued as a scientific method for saving human lives because it’s less expensive, it produces more precise results, and it saves the lives of millions of humans. First of all, if animal testing was stopped it would hurt researches with less funds because animal testing is less expensive than the alternatives that…

In the past century, advances in technology and scientific discoveries have given rise to what is known to us as modern medicine. Although,we should appreciate the extensive knowledge that we have gained today. It is also very important to understand the methods/experiments that have led to these discoveries. This is very similar to ordering a dish at the restaurant without asking what ingredients were used in making it. Unfortunately, in light of these discoveries many animals are being used in research testing and toxicity testing.…

Children are now immunized against many diseases such as whooping cough, small pox, and tetanus all because of animal testing”. Few examples exist that truly show how cruel people can be, and animal testing is high on the list. Imagine a beloved animal, caged in stainless steel, shaking, being analyzed for the effects of a new ingredient in a beauty product. Millions are drawn to protest the tests conducted for vanity, and some countries have already placed laws in action to ban the practice. The fight continues in the U.S. for the welfare of animals that are still undergoing vile tests so that people can have cosmetic products. The cry for justice grows louder as new technology allows far more accurate testing to be conducted, without ever involving innocent animals that will live out their lives and likely die in the laboratories, often as a result of the tests.…

Why Animal Testing Should Be Banned Everyday innocent animals are being forced into labs and tested for human research advancement. Cruelty Free International states how approximately 115 million animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, dogs and monkeys are used in dangerous laboratory experiments every year. In fact, many of the experiments are said to be useless tests, as stated, “The reality is that the majority of animal experiments do not contribute to improving human health, and the value of the role that animal experimentation plays in most medical advances is questionable” (“Animal Testing is Bad Science”). Misconceptions by the media may stretch the idea how animal testing can cure diseases, illnesses etc.. But actually, as emphasized, animal testing is an inefficient way of finding medical advances, making the procedures to be unnecessary and making there be no reason to force animals into labs without a choice, it's blatantly a waste of animals lives.…

Now days, society can volunteer themselves in clinical drug research for a monetary exchange. With modern science “we can see inside peoples’ brains using imaging machines or test microscopic amounts of new drugs harmlessly on volunteers.” (BUAV.org the campaign to end animal experiments, pg 7) Humans are more willing to volunteer themselves for the money, but also because strict health and safety precautions are put in place for their well-being at all times during the study. Humans can also communicate their side effects and pain occurrence which provides sound and optimal results for future modifications and or dosages. Unfortunately, animals cannot communicate these important factors, which in turn is useless.…
