Think about this. You are going to be taken from your home and from your family. After that, you will be taken to a zoo and be kept captive there for a very long time. Nobody wants that to happen to them. Animals should not be kept captive in zoos. First, most animals are not endangered and therefore they should not be put in zoos (Why you should not support Zoos).
Second, animals should not be used as entertainment for human purposes (Zoos neither educate nor empower children). Lastly, although zoos intend to have a positive impact, they can actually do the opposite and have a negative impact on animals (List of 11 Pros and Cons of Zoos).

One major problem is that animals are usually put into crowded spaces. Animals in their habitats move freely wherever they want to. Now that these animals are in a small space, they can suffer from depression, get sick, stop eating or even die. Another problem is that sometimes animals can be separated from their families. This means they could be left alone (List of 11 Pros and Cons of Zoos). Imagine being taken away from your parents and siblings. How sad! Taking animals out of their habitats can negatively change their behavior. For example, a giraffe that used to be very happy and active in its natural habitat might now become very depressed and inactive while living in the zoo (List of 11 Pros and Cons of Zoos). This shows how zoos can have a negative impact on animals.
Animals shouldn’t be kept captive in zoos. Most animals are not endangered and therefore do not need to be kept in zoos. Animals should not be used for human entertainment and although zoos intend to have a positive impact on animals, many time they do the opposite. I hope these points convince you to be more aware of how zoos are treating animals. Obviously, zoos are treating animals far worse than we think. As I said before, imagine you being put into a zoo. All of these things would happen to you! Animals should be treated the same as us! We
