Achieving a high school degree is the next stepping stone to go to college. The only way to go to college without a high school degree is if a G.E.D. is obtained. Regardless of how this stepping stone is achieved, the next decision is choosing a career path and the appropriate college. Figuring this out can be extremely challenging and sometimes costly. Trying to figure out a career path while in college can be very costly. A Bachelor’s degree can take up to 4 years to obtain. If the career path is changed at any point, it could extend the college experience in time and extra costs. Some colleges cost up to $29,000 a year and some cost as little as $6,000 per year. That is still a lot of money to spend, so figuring out a career path as early as possible is the most cost effective way to achieve a college degree.
