The universe is extremely vast and only four percent of all of space has been explored, so why not keep funding space programs. Space programs have been around for fifty years and there is no need to stop. The exploration of space so far has made incredible breakthroughs in science and technology. Also, even the thought of being in space amazes millions. The increase of government spending on space programs will help discover the unknown, expand technology, and provide a better future for generations to come. To not explore what is unknown is against human nature. For years man has searched for answers to what is unknown. For example, the search to see if the Earth is flat or round. Not exploring will leave people to sit and wonder to find no answers. People always wondered what could possibly be on the moon, but they never would have known without space exploration. Scientists observe space searching for something new. But they can not get any real answers without exploration. Sitting on Earth and wanting to know what is beyond the far reaches of our minds is within everyone. …show more content…
But all of the news things that we are discovering due to space programs is building a better future for families all across the world. There is possible water on Mars which means that people may have the opportunity to live there and discover even more. As stated before, new technology is discovered and made due to space programs which also benefits people all over the world. As said by Neil deGrasse Tyson “space exploration is a force of nature unto itself that no other force in society can rival.” Space programs will continue to create a better future for everyone if continued to be funded and ending space programs in turn will halt new scientific and technological discoveries. If space programs are ended, they will not be able to discover hundreds more advances in the medical, science, and technology
