Persuasive Essay: Should Tobacco Products Be Banned?

Should tobacco products be banned? In one’s opinion yes, the reason why this is said is because tobacco products cause premature ageing, different kinds of sicknesses are developed, causes premature deaths, stunts lung growth, and addiction. Tobacco products definitely need to be banned. First reason why is tobacco products cause premature aging, and wrinkling of skin on the hands, and face. Just look at a smoker and a non-smoker who are the same age, they definitely do not look in the same age range. Fingers get yellowed, teeth get discolored and besides stinking, their clothes and furniture they usually have burn marks in them. Smoking tobacco can cause different illnesses and diseases. Addiction can cause you to do something continuously and you can't stop. When addicted to tobacco products it can use to get illnesses and disease easily than doing it once or twice a day. Tobacco products are seriously dangerous and unhealthy. It causes diseases and illnesses nobody wants to have. Like this reason should be the reason tobacco products are banned. Some may say tobacco products should be banned but others have an opinion too. Reason this is said is because in some religions the tobacco products are needed. It’s what they were born into it, it’s their religion. You can’t change that. Tobacco products shouldn’t be banned because it’s their lives they can do what they want with it. The founding of this country as expressed in the Declaration of Independence makes it clear that people should be able to pursue happiness that does not affect others. Cause It wouldn’t be fair if something you love got taken away from you. Many farmers and industrial worker are employed by the tobacco industry in the US. That would mean they would lose their jobs.
