Apparently the USDA surveys the total number of animals in pain that are used for animal testing in the U.S. They claim only 6%of the animals being tested are in pain. That is only 6 out of every 100 animals. If people are concerned about that then no one should be able to have an animal because some animals are abused by their owner. The only difference is in a laboratory. Many people today say that animal testing is cruel and think that it should be stop. They believe that we have other ways to test products like computer modeling or tissue culture. The only problem is that when you use tissue culture you can’t get a full body reaction. The problem with computer modeling (use a computer program to test chemicals) is that it doesn’t show how a living body will react. There are alternatives but you wouldn’t be able to get a good test to make sure it works and is safe, so instead of killing animals it would start killing
