An innocent animal is being tested right now to find a cure for sickness, or being cut up for a learning experience. Animal testing should be banned because enough animals are being tested even after the numbers have dropped, animals are not toys, and there is another way to get answers and not danger as many animals.

Enough animals are being tested even after the numbers have dropped. Scientists need to choose the best decision, the that will hurt the least number of animals. According to scientists at Shell, animal testing lab, the number of animals being tested since 1970 has decreased. Many animals are being tested for cures, but not as many as there used to be. In the 1970’s 5.5 million animals were being tested, today there are only 3.8 million. Shell has a Group Animal Testing standard that is based on “the 3r’s”. It will help with the number of animals being tested. The “3r’s” are reduce the numbers, refine the tests and replace them with alternatives. Experts reviewed this and say Shell is doing a great job of meeting this standard. Hopefully in the future the number of animals being tested is decreased, not increased. …show more content…
In classrooms, animals are being treated as toys, not living creatures. Animals, frogs specifically, are used in science/biology classes for “fun” learning experiences. Frogs are dissected by immature students that are there just because they have to be. Frogs are ripped apart to find answers. We already have these answers, instead of killing an innocent animal, that can feel pain, read a textbook or an internet page. Schools should stop teaching kids how to rip an animal apart. It would be better to watch a video of it where only one frog has died not many frogs each
