The death Penalty is where the government can choose to put a criminal to death for something that they have done. No matter how bad the crime is , or how bad the criminal is, they should not deserve to die. There is no doubt that killing another person is that the most atrocious crime that one will commit. however it looks that our government is being hypocritical once it states that execution is allowable, But the person did do a terrible crime it is still not fair to kill them. In southern states, 8 percent of the black offenders who murder get capital punishment. Just 1 percent of white killers get the death penalty. I'm completely against death penalty for many reasons. First, I don't believe we have the right to kill someone else even if they are a criminal. Also, everyone must have a chance to become a better person. The same result of the death penalty can be achieved by isolating those persons from society and trying to socialize them. If this nevertheless cannot be achieved, they should be isolated for all their life long. The US has many alternatives to imprisonment and have had to become creative about punishment in our justice system, too. We have made the changes mainly because of a rampant growth of perpetrators in our country. We have steadily moved away from capital punishment and hard labor as the society's sensibilities have been pricked, but the alternatives to the once harsher penalties have served to increase the prison populations. Over 120 people on death rows have been released innocent. Many had already served many years on death row. If we speed up the process we are bound to execute an innocent person. Once someone is killed the case is closed. If we execute an innocent person we are not likely to find that out and, also, the real criminal is still out

Capital punishment or the death penalty, has been used in the United States since the country’s founding in 1776. Back then, executions were performed publically throughout towns, and have been controversial from the beginning. I find the death penalty to be an extremely arbitrary and primitive act that should not be practiced anymore. We are at an advanced time in society and the U.S. is the only english speaking country to still practice this cruel and unusual act.…

The death penalty is mainly used in criminal cases when a criminal kills multiple people, he or she is a fugitive of the law, or when someone else has over sixty offenses. There are restrictions on who the penalty can be used against and the reason, for the penalty being put on a person. It is known that there are exceptions to all the rules and for this reason the death penalty should not be allowed in the United States. Imagine being a grieving mother whose child made a mistake because no one saw the warning signs, and no one got him help. It is realized that what they did was wrong but no matter how bad the crime committed was, you cannot force yourself to love your family any less and seeing someone you love punished by death is hard for…

The death penalty, often known as capital punishment, is the punishment of execution given to a person who has been legally convicted of a crime. It has been a highly controversial issue, and there are many American citizens who support this system, and many who do not. Some argue that the criminals who have been sentenced to death deserve to die, to pay for the harm that they have done to others. They also view execution as a deterrent for crime. However, the system has not been successful in reducing crime in our society, and I do not see how it will do so in the future.…

I personally think that the Death Penalty is wrong because of its not right to kill why should it be right to kill someone else with the death penalty, by going that far with everything you midis well have a purge. If someone if accused with murder then that person should have to deal with a punishment that nobody wants to deal with and that is spending there life in prison looking up for life with nothing to see is walls and bars because killing the person who had done the kill is too easy of a punishment, it isn’t even a punishment. Abolishing the Death Penalty has been an enormous argument in our society. The main question that everyone debates about all throughout the world, is whether the penalty should be abolished or not. To me honestly, of course the Death Penalty should be banned from all states. I do not support it by any means, mainly because it goes against my religious beliefs. It’s not only cruel, but it also violates our human rights and is more expensive than people may think.…

The death penalty is wrong, inhumane and ineffective. Every year billions of dollars and thousands of man hours go into trying to take convicts lives. These felons are men and women who have committed murders. Some people may say that since they took someone else's life they don't deserve to live themselves, but I disagree with that. Taking the life of the killer won't bring the victim back and is unethical, expensive and unfairly or wrongly given sometime.…

On many accounts, the criminals who commit capital level crimes will likely commit them more than once to avoid prison, or just for the personal excitement that it brings them. Are those the people you want roaming the streets of your city? The death penalty is the solution to this. The many terrible acts of these high level criminals should not be tolerated in our society. The Death Penalty is a beneficial act that could potentially provide closure to the murder victims family, free up jail cells for lower level criminals, and take dangerous fugitives off the streets with no chance of committing such horrid crimes ever again.…

When it comes to the topic of the Death Penalty you have to ask yourself the morality of what you are doing, and if other human beings should have the right to take the life of someone else for what you deem as wrong above and beyond the normal crime. From an economic standpoint you realize that it is extremely inefficient not only in terms of time, but in the sheer amount of money it takes for the death penalty to actually be handed down making it more economically inefficient.
