Memories are special, they remind you of the things you love and why you love that thing. Almost everyone has a memory about going to the zoo with your parents. Do you think zoos treat their animals ? If you said yes, well you’re wrong. A big problem that zoos have to face is, the animals are kept in enclosures that aren’t a fit space for the animal that is inside. They think if they trees and cool paintings it will make it all good. They are wrong, animals are there for years and they will find everything to know about the habitat by the first year. Eventually this makes the animals bored, causing them to not do much which makes it not as enjoyable for the people that come. You probably think they’ll get used to life in a fake habitat, but they really don’t. Even animals that are bred into zoos go back to their parents old lifestyles. Animals like cheetahs or polar bears grow up hunting for their own prey in the wild, the zoo takes that away from them. They feed them twice a day with a nice cut of meat sitting by them, sometimes the owners put the meat right in front of them so they don’t even have to move. Most zoo animals would roam tens of miles a day, if they were in the wild. Zoos say they are helping with conservation of the animals, but for the animals they keep in the zoo almost none of them are actually extinct. Most animals that are released into the wild don’t make it.
