Most schools use the traditional schooling system. When kids go to school for 180 with breaks spread out along the year. They all so have 2 ½ summer break at the end of the year. Kids around the world can also go to school for 45 days and get a relaxing 3 weeks off. Schools should be using the traditional school schedule. There are many reasons why we should do this. It has no positive effect on education, it adds to costs, and it disrupts the long awaited summer vacation. First off , year round schooling has no constructive impact on education. Most year-round schedules us the 45-15 method: 45 days of school followed by 15 days off. For the kids that follow this schedule there are many first and last days off school. All of these days can really disrupt the kids learning process. Also there is no proof of any kids getting higher test scores. When a school changes to a year round schedule, the cost skyrockets. Keeping schools open in the middle of the summer requires lost of air conditioning and that adds to the costs.
