Persuasive Essay On Year Round School

After the first week of school most kids count down the days till the next break. If students had to go to school year round, it would decrease the amount of time between significant breaks and allow students time to rejuvenate. Year round school also decreases absence rates, and gives less time for students to forget information over the summer.
In most year round schools, students go to school for two to three months and then get a break. Usually the students get a summer break, a winter break, and a spring break in one school year. Going to school in a year round setting allows teachers and students to re- energize, and are ready for the next section of school. By giving students this periodic time off, it allows them to gear up, and perform to the best of their ability. In a typical school student will start the year with all the best intentions. As the year goes on the student will begin to tire, and will slowly let their grades slide. If they were in a year round school they would be able to have their break and recharge, so that they could be just as productive for the rest of the year.

Sometimes as a student is completing the school year they become tired, and slowly begin to stop going to school. By having a long break every few months it gives a student a goal that they can achieve. It also allows families to take vacations without interfering with their kid’s school schedules. By having two to three week break it gives families enough time to take vacations and still give the student an efficient amount of time to be prepared for school.
