Have you ever had a bad moment of time? It could have been because you were going through a phase. It could have been because you went through something traumatic like an accident or a death. It could have been simply because of you going with the wrong crowd and not realizing the stupidity of what you’re doing. On the other hand, let’s take a moment and think about an alternative universe where you can drop out of school anytime and any day without a law going against you. Meaning no school for anyone who wants to just want to quit going from elementary to high school. Now let’s think about a person whose going through a rough time and knew just how easy it was to quit school. It’s how we live and it keeps the world/society moving without trouble creating a good balance. No matter how stupid or useless you think a rule might be, it’s there for a reason which is to protect. For example laws about speed limits is there to stop cars from crashing. Laws about murder and robbery is to protect and prevent the innocent people in the world. Laws about taxes is to keep our economy going and help America. So what’s the difference between those laws and education laws? Education laws also serve a huge purpose for America and its future. The kids you see now will be America’s future workers and politicians later on. They will run America, so of course they need one thing to make it successful and not make the economy collapse- education. So when Roger Sipher said “The solution to this problem is simple: Abolish compulsory-attendance laws and allow only those who are committed to getting an education to attend” in order to increase our test scored and not put America’s education in trouble, didn’t quite make sense to
