According to, “One Green Planet”,“68% of adults in the United States are now overweight. If grown adults can’t make the right choices to keep themselves healthy now, how can we expect children to choose healthy items when there are also unhealthy `favorites as well?” First of all, 68% of adults are obese. That number has more than doubled since 1960. That probably happened because kids have grown up eating fattening food. Now they are adults and overweight. If schools keep serving children this kind of food the country will become more obese than ever. Even when the children grow up and aren’t eating school food anymore they will almost be addicted to it. They won’t know any better to make the right decisions when it comes to healthy eating. Argument Paper II The quality of school lunches has been a debated topic throughout this past decade. While some are advocating for healthier lunch options for students, others would prefer that lunch options stay fairly the same to offer a more diverse selection of foods. One student says “Usually we go to the student store and I'll buy a bag of Cheetos...or like chips, sometimes a Gatorade, yeah" when asked what they will do when the school lunch doesn’t fill them up enough. This is a problem that is hard to deal with, because having bags of snacks that students can munch on sort of goes back on the whole idea of “healthy lunches” and has the student spending money on top of their bought lunch just to get filled up for the rest of the day. Giving students a healthy option is ideal, but having them eat something that tastes bad and won’t even fill them up doesn’t seem right. There are some arguments that some people can make as to why healthy school lunches are extremely important and why they mustn’t change.…
