Underage Drinking Underage drinking is a major problem which is leading people to their deaths, however their parents have decided to start groups to prevent underage drinking so they can try to reduce it. Most underage drinkers consequences of alcohol use are vehicle accidents, the leading cause of death for teenagers.(Miller)

Teens that play sports should know better to not drink at such a young age because it could obviously do damage to their body, for example it can reduce muscle recovery because alcohol is a very powerful diuretic that can cause dehydration and electrolyte imbalances and it can also affect your memory and make you gain weight. Athletes that drink at a young age shouldn’t even be allowed to drink because their performance starts to go down, sometimes teens that are going to college lose their scholarships because maybe they were caught drinking at a young
